The Role

You will be instrumental in providing engaging and inclusive learning experiences for primary-aged pupils, working flexibly across different year groups and schools as needed. Role Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the Primary National Curriculum
  • Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment
  • Adapt teaching and resources to meet individual learning needs
  • Assess and monitor pupil progress regularly
  • Maintain high expectations for learning and behaviour
  • Support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development
  • Follow school safeguarding policies and procedures at all times
  • Collaborate with Teaching Assistants and other staff to maximise learning
  • Provide effective short-term cover by following existing lesson plans and routines

 

Skills and Experience

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
  • At least 6 months’ UK classroom teaching experience
  • Excellent knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum
  • Confidence teaching within EYFS, KS1 and/or KS2
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management abilities
  • Ability to differentiate lessons for a range of abilities and needs
  • Positive, reliable and adaptable approach to teaching
  • Enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain
  • Ability to provide references covering the most recent 24 months
